THE ROLES

Known as the Heart of England, Stratford-upon-Avon is one of the most beautiful parts of the country, steeped in culture and history where agriculture plays an important role in local economy.  The District is also characterised by small thriving market towns, historic buildings and pretty villages welcoming around 6.7 million visitors every year to the District.

At Stratford-on-Avon, we are excited to be recruiting two new Heads of Service to the Council’s Management Team following the retirement of two long standing and highly respected officers. These roles are at the heart of the Council’s Management Team who are working with our political leaders to “get stuff done”.

We are continuing to transform the way in which we are working with some exciting projects underway, aimed at supporting and enhancing our communities.

In May 2023 we have ‘all out’ District elections, following which a new Council Plan will be developed to help guide our actions over the next four years. Both these roles are at the heart of the strategic planning process and will work closely with our members to help shape our future ambitions.
